Our Legacy
Where Passion Meets Tradition - A Culinary Tribute to My Father
Bếp Ba - Dad’s Kitchen was created in honour of my father, a gifted chef whose quiet passion, care, and pride in every dish inspired love across generations. He had a way of transforming humble ingredients into something extraordinary, leaving a lasting impression on anyone who sat at his table. This business is my tribute to him — a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and the kind of authenticity that can only come from deep respect for tradition.
Recently launched, Bếp Ba – Dad’s Kitchen will begin as an online Vietnamese café and catering service, offering carefully curated dishes, ingredients, and — in time — premium frozen meals that bring the warmth of a Vietnamese kitchen into everyday homes. With an unwavering commitment to quality and flavour, our mission is to serve not just meals, but memories.
As a finance professional, I’ve built a career on structure, strategy, and growth — and now I’m bringing those principles into this venture, with long-term aspirations to expand into a physical restaurant or café space. While Bếp Ba – Dad’s Kitchen will operate independently from my finance work, it reflects the values that have shaped my life: integrity, dedication, and doing things with heart.
Beneath the Broth -
Stories in Every Chopstickful 💖😊💖

Bò Kho - Vietnamese Five Spice Beef Stew
A bold, comforting stew where tender chunks of beef melt into a fragrant, spice-laden broth — infused with lemongrass, five-spice, garlic and a touch of heat. The slow simmer coaxes out layers of flavour, marrying East Asian aromatics with French-inspired heartiness. Carrots are often added for sweetness and texture. Perfect for dipping warm baguette or slurping with silky noodles, Bò Kho is Vietnam’s soulful answer to comfort food

Gỏi Cuốn - Summer Rolls
These translucent rice paper rolls are filled with shrimp or pork, vermicelli noodles, and crisp herbs. Served cold, they’re dipped into a savoury hoisin-peanut sauce or a light fish sauce dip.
Light, fresh, and bursting with the clean flavours of herbs and seafood — each roll is a delicate wrap of Vietnam’s natural bounty
The origins of gỏi cuốn are tied to Vietnam’s agricultural history, with rice being a staple food. The dish became a way to use up leftover meats, fresh vegetables, and herbs, all wrapped in delicate rice paper. Unlike fried spring rolls (chả giò), gỏi cuốn are served fresh and uncooked, making them a lighter, healthier alternative.

Gà Xào Sả Ớt - Vietnamese Lemongrass Chicken Curry
A fiery and fragrant stir-fry that awakens the senses — succulent chicken cloaked in the earthy aroma of lemongrass and the sharp heat of fresh chili. Each bite delivers a punchy burst of citrusy spice, balanced by the warmth of garlic and shallots. It’s a rustic, soul-satisfying dish that brings the taste of the Vietnamese countryside to your table.
This indulgent dish is served with fragrant rice.

Bún Chả Giò - Vietnamese Noodle Salad with Spring rolls
This refreshing, tasty dish is a perfect choice for those hot, summer days. Served with vermicelli rice noodle, spring rolls (chả giò), julienned carrots and cucumber, romaine lettuce, mint, cilantro and umami-rich fish sauce dressing.

Cơm Tấm – Broken Rice
Cơm Tấm – Broken Rice, is a humble yet hearty street food staple — a medley of grilled, steamed, and fried delights atop fragrant broken rice, brought together by a drizzle of sweet-salty fish sauce.
Despite countless variations of this dish, a typical Cơm Tấm plate must have its iconic elements, including:
- Cơm Tấm (The steamed broken rice)
- Marinated Sườn (chargrilled pork chops)
- Chả trứng (steamed egg meatloaf): a fusion of super soft and moist mince, crunchy wood-ear mushrooms, brushed with a shiny golden egg yolk glaze on the top to finish
- Trứng ốp la (sunny-side-up egg): the addition of a fried egg is not only for decoration but also for balancing the elements in the dish
- Mở hành (scallion oil): the shiny green scallion oil not only adds the final touch to the dish but also creates a nice aroma and texture
- Đồ chua (pickled thread carrots), sliced fresh cucumbers and tomatoes
- Nước Mắm (dipping fish sauce)

Bánh Mì - Vietnamese Baguette Sandwich
A fusion of French and Vietnamese cuisine, Bánh Mì is a crunchy baguette bursting with contrasting flavours and textures filled with savoury meats like grilled pork, creamy pate, and cold cuts of chả lụa (Vietnamese meat loaf) , paired with tangy pickled carrots and daikon, cucumber slices, coriander, chili, and mayonnaise.
The origin of bánh mì in Saigon in particular, and in Vietnam in general, is the Baguette bread brought by the French in the early 19th century. During the process of modification, Saigon people have processed Baguette into Saigon's typical bread with a shorter length, only about 30 - 40 cm.

Bún Bò Huế (Spicy Beef Noodle Soup from Huế)
Bún Bò Huế hails from the imperial city of Huế and is known for its bold, spicy, and aromatic broth.
A royal dish with fiery roots, this delicious dish is a complex and aromatic noodle soup layered with the earthy heat of lemongrass and grilled ginger. But its soul lies in the must-have lemongrass chili satay — a rich, red paste of garlic, dried chilies, and spices simmered in oil until fragrant. Swirled into the broth, it adds a smoky depth and lingering spice that clings to every strand of noodle and tender cut of meat. It’s not just a meal — it’s a full-bodied sensory experience from Vietnam’s ancient capital

Bánh Xèo (Vietnamese Savory Sizzling Pancake)
Bánh Xèo is a crispy, golden rice flour pancake, traditionally made with turmeric powder and coconut milk, giving it a distinctive yellow hue and delicate aroma. The batter is poured into a hot skillet and "sizzles" — hence the name xèo, the Vietnamese word for the sizzling sound. It's typically filled with choice of pork slices or shrimp, and bean sprouts, then folded like an omelette. Served with fresh lettuce, herbs (like mint and perilla), and dipped in nước chấm (a tangy fish sauce-based dip), it’s eaten by wrapping pieces of the pancake in leafy greens.
This is Vietnamese street food at its most interactive and irresistible

Hủ Tiếu Hoành Thánh (Vietnamese Wonton Noodle Soup)
Hủ Tiếu is a beloved southern Vietnamese noodle soup with Chinese-Cambodian roots, known for its light yet savoury broth and diverse toppings.
The broth is typically pork-based, simmered with dried shrimp, and bones for a naturally sweet, umami-rich flavour. It’s served with your choice of noodles — chewy tapioca noodles, soft rice noodles, or a mix — and topped with a variety of proteins such as slices of xá xíu — tender, chargrilled pork marinated in a sweet-savoury blend of soy sauce, honey, five-spice powder and garlic, paired with plump, handmade wontons (hoành thánh) — dumplings filled with seasoned ground pork and shrimp, shrimp and quail eggs. Garnished with fried shallots, chives, and crunchy bean sprouts, it’s often paired with a side of fresh herbs and a squeeze of lime or chili sauce.
Hủ Tiếu can also be enjoyed khô (dry) — where noodles are tossed with sauce and served alongside a bowl of broth
